About Camp Tamarack

Camp Tamarack is a non-profit, non-denominational overnight summer camp for boys and girls who have completed the 2nd grade through 8th grade.

The camp was founded in 1970 by St. Albert’s the Great Church for the purpose of giving urban children the opportunity to experience a rural environment and to learn positive life lessons.

The camp is split up into a boy’s week and a girl’s week. Boys week will be July 28 through August 2, 2024. Girls week will be August 4 through August 9, 2024. The camp facilities are located in Annandale, MN on Lake Sylvia.

A majority of the campers come from the Twin Cities area and transportation is provided from St. Albert’s Church.

Camp Tamarack prides itself on being an affordable, exciting, and memorable experience for our young campers.

A Tribute to Mary Lou Flandrick

Post from Robbie Newberg on August 27, 2023 – Yesterday morning we lost one of the best. Mary Lou Flandrick passed away at 92 after many problems in the last months. So many family and friends got to say goodbye to her before she left this world. For those of you who knew her, you knew how amazing she was. Mary Lou inspired so many people through Camp Tamarack, St. Albert’s, S & B, spiritual groups and so many more. She still went out to lunch with grade school and high school friends occasionally. She was kind, loving, smart, knowledgeable and so much more. Friendships were a huge part of her life and I was honored to have her as a best friend. She will be SO greatly missed. Please let the Camp Tamarack friends in your life know about our loss. Heaven gained an angel that will watch over all of us.
